This is a special little piece. It is two sided and all crystals are terminated. It also is a floater. Where the top of the huebnerite broke in situ continued growth faces healed it. The siderites are a rich cream color on one side and sprinkled with epitaxially oriented pyrite on the other. A thin layer of muscovite acts as a barrier between the huebnerite and siderite. Small hexagonal apatites rest on the surface of one side of the huebnerite. A keeper in every respect. Locality: Panasquiera, Portugal Composition: iron carbonate and iron manganese tungstate
