What do you buy your wife to celebrate 50 years of blissful marriage when she says emphatically that she does not want anything and is actually passing on jewellery to our children? I searched around for something special and came across Jacqueline & Edward. I bought a small hand-made gold heart made with panned gold from Cornish rivers, specifically relevant because we bought our wedding rings in St Austel, Cornwall, all those years ago. And we have a fir tree dedicated to us in the Caledonian Forest! I mentioned all this in my speech at our celebration dinner – the tears flowed! But I could not have asked for anything more poignant and pleasing for my wife, who wears the heart all the time.
